What we clean
The whole exhaust path, in order — every safely accessible component is cleaned and recorded.
- 1. Canopy / hoodInterior and exterior degrease of the visible hood.
- 2. Baffle filtersRemoved, degreased and refitted.
- 3. Plenum chamber & grease guttersBehind the filters — gutters and drip trays cleared.
- 4. Accessible ductwork & access pointsHorizontal and vertical runs we can safely reach.
- 5. Rooftop exhaust fanBlades, housing and grease collection, plus the accessible roof area.
- Optional: commercial kitchen deep cleanA separate add-on for the cooking line, walls and hard-to-reach areas. Quoted separately from the exhaust service.
Anything that cannot be safely accessed, or that is outside the agreed scope, is clearly recorded in your service report with a recommendation.
Standards & service scope, in plain English
General information only, not legal advice. No universal cleaning interval applies to every venue — timing is risk-based.
- AS 1851
- Concerns routine servicing of fire-protection systems and equipment, including kitchen exhaust systems as a fire-safety feature.
- AS 1668.1 / AS 1668.2
- Concern ventilation, smoke control and mechanical ventilation design and operation. They are not a cleaning-frequency rule.
Canopy-only surface clean
- Visible hood surfaces and usually the filters
- No record of the plenum, ductwork or fan condition
- Does not document cleaning of the entire exhaust path
Full exhaust-system service
- Hood, baffle filters, plenum and grease gutters
- Accessible horizontal and vertical ducts and access points
- Rooftop fan and accessible roof area
- Each component recorded, with anything inaccessible or excluded clearly noted
Maintenance, insurer, landlord, auditor and site requirements differ. Confirm your venue's own requirements — we document what we clean so you can show it.

$580 – $1,650
Estimate only — final price confirmed after a free site check.
Suggested interval: typically every 3–6 months
Filters: inspect monthly and clean as required.
Recommended intervals are a risk-based guide only, not a legal or universal interval. Your actual interval depends on cooking type, volume, grease load, hours, system condition and any landlord, insurer or site requirements.

Your service report & sticker
After a completed job you receive a Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Service Report (also called a Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Service & Verification Certificate). Where applicable it includes:
- Dated record listing the actual scope and components cleaned
- Service sticker showing the clean date and recommended next-service date
- Before-and-after photo log of the serviced components
- Downloadable PDF from the customer portal
- Copy retained by us for reissue if you lose it
Insurers, landlords and auditors may request maintenance evidence; this report is designed to provide it.
This service documentation records the work performed. It does not replace approvals or certifications required by a council, building surveyor, fire contractor, insurer or other authority.
